Coming from Orlando Florida to get these wonderful treats was well worth it! I ordered 5 different items: a creme filled croissant, sweet bread, orange juice, pão francês, and a icecream cone.
The croissant was arguably the best item due to the amazing texture, a well balanced sweetness, and fair pricing.
The icecream cone was a mix of chocolate and cream. The cream was incredibly delicious, the chocolate icecream tasted similar to a dark chocolate, and the waffle cone topped off the whole treat.
Overall, Matok had a wide variety of pastries, breads, and treats that America doesn’t even offer! Well worth the trip to get items at Matok.
Very nice staff, and an English menu which was very helpful. Came for brunch since this was the only kosher restaurant we could find open during the day. Unfortunately the food was the worst I’ve had in São Paulo so far. There was a spot of mold on the pita bread but the waitress was quick to replace. Though if we tried it first we wouldn’t have had her go through the trouble since it tasted like nothing.almost had to question if we had Covid or not it was so bland. This was the eggplant and cheese pita sandwich. Also ordered the fish matok which was very simple and nothing special, but it was good at least. Finished with two of their desserts which were beautiful to look at but were just sugary nothingness. Now that I’m getting around to finishing this review, both of us aren’t feeling so great.oy vey. Definitely visit with caution but maybe a native speaker knows better about what to order and what to avoid here.
First time eating there while visiting São Paulo, I ordered the Salmon sandwich which they were out of, so I opted for the Eilat. The sandwich came and the server set the plate in front of me and it had mold on it. The server offered to make a new fresh one. I agreed and waited. The new one she brought didn’t have mold but was so unappetizing, sloppy and flavorless I couldn’t eat it all. I took 3/4 bites and had to throw it away. It was not good. I then ordered a dessert from the counter hoping it would be better as they seem to be popular for desserts. I ordered a cream filled bread like item with a frosting on top. Again, flavorless. I wanted to like this place but I just don’t have anything good to say.
Bom restaurante / padaria casher. Rigorosa supervisão rabínica. LEITE/Parve Mesas dentro e ao ar livre, ambiente bem gostoso.
