We had a wonderful stay at the Hostel for three nights. The area is really safe and calm, we experienced friendly and peaceful people all around the Favela. Keep in mind that the Favela has a lot of stairs so you should bring light bags)
Many thanks to our host Bibi for the warm welcome in the middle of the night and the great hospitality. We enjoyed the breakfast every morning with watching the little monkeys in the trees.

Tivemos uma estadia maravilhosa no Hostel por três noites. A área é muito segura e calma, experimentamos pessoas amigáveis ​​e pacíficas em toda a Favela. Lembre-se de que a Favela tem muitas escadas, então você deve trazer bolsas leves)

Where to start. We had the most magical time staying - I can’t recommend highly enough. Bibi is the best host, we felt so welcome and looked after. The place is beautiful and quiet, and the community feels incredibly friendly, familiar and safe - don’t miss it if you have the chance!

Amazing stay at an excellent location, delicious breakfast and fantastic service by the lovely people working at the pousada. The view from the deck is really unique and the people from the Babylonia community are very lovely.

Onde começar. Tivemos momentos muito mágicos - não posso recomendar o suficiente. Bibi é a melhor anfitriã, nos sentimos muito bem-vindos e cuidados. O lugar é lindo e tranquilo, e a comunidade parece incrivelmente amigável, familiar e segura - não perca se tiver oportunidade!

Una experiencia buenísima, favela recuperada que te permite acercarte a la vida cotidiana de la gente y te muestran su amabilidad siempre, es seguro, arriba tienes una de las mejores vistas de río además de la excelente atención de la anfitriona Bibiana; caminando con un estado físico medianamente bueno vas y vuelves sin problema a la playa que es una de las menos concurridas. ¡Espero volver pronto!

Em termos gerais, a hospedagem foi ótima. Quarto limpo, banheiro limpo mesmo que compartilhado, uma experiência bem próxima da natureza. A dona nos recepcionou muito bem, e fez um café da manhã divino. Um ponto a mencionar, é que de fato é um trajeto enorme até a pousada, são muitas escadas, sem contar o morro. Recomendamos subir de moto táxi (geralmente aceitam só em dinheiro em espécie). No mais, é isso. Gostamos bastante!

Incrível! Uma experiência de imersão total na vida brasileira. Pode ser em uma favela, é muito seguro lá e todos são muito legais.
É certo que você tem que subir um pouco, mas a vista vale o desvio. E não só! A anfitriã Bibi é adorável e atenciosa. Apesar da barreira do idioma, tudo correu muito bem. O café da manhã é muito bom e o ambiente muito agradável.
Eu recomendo!

O lugar é tudo que promete! Super aconchegante com uma anfitriã incrível. A vista é sem palavras. Do lado tem um bar que dura a noite toda para quem, como eu, gosta de uma cerveja gelada e um petisco. O que não atrapalha a quietude da pousada! O restauração fechou, mas o charme do lugar permanece. Bibi ainda vende cervejas no local para nossa comodidade e serve um café da manhã singular. Estarei de volta em breve.

A lovely oasis in on the hill of a surprisingly quiet and welcoming Fabela. When we asked the taxi driver to take us there he was shocked and urged us not to go. He was so wrong. Of course Fabelas are tricky places but in this instance, the community and Vivi (the host) has managed to create a lovely environment to attract visitors and work towards making a better Babilonia. Nice rooms, very clean, beautiful simple breakfast and attentive service. Well done team!

Un bonito oasis en la colina de una sorprendentemente tranquila y acogedora fabela. Cuando le dijimos al taxista la dirección puso el grito en el cielo y nos quitó las ganas de ir. Estaba muy equivocado. Por supuesto las fabelas son sitios complejos, pero en este caso, la comunidad y Vivi (la anfitriona) han conseguido crear un entorno agradable que atraiga a visitantes y ayude a construir una babilonia mejor. Habitaciones agradables, muy limpio, rico desayuno sencillo y atención muy servicial. ¡Enhorabuena equipo!

O Restaurante é muito aconchegante e tem uma comida deliciosa! Tem ótimas opções veganas e vegetarianas além do atendimento acolhedor!

Best restaurant in Rio, the owner is great, the favela is not really like a favela - its nice and clean. The food is amazing, aspecially the vegan ceviche. Amazing view. Recommend it with my whole heart!

Lugar maravilho administrado por uma mulher que foi muito simpática comigo e minha esposa, nos cêntimos em casa, adorei e pretendemos voltar lá, indicamos sem sombra de dúvidas.

We met "Willy" who served us and recommended the drinks. I tried Coconut Lemonade which was to die for. Abhy had a Frozen Passion Fruit drink. We had ordered a few Latin American dishes which tasted amazing and were recommended by Willy. I had no clue what was written in portuguese in the menu. All I can say it tasted amazing. The cost for dinner R$75,35.

Das perfekte Umfeld. Friedliche und tolle Atmosphäre. Ich habe mich hier verliebt. Ich kann es kaum erwarten, wieder zu kommen.

We went to estrelas da babilonia with my girlfriend on a Friday night, and we LOVED it.
In the middle of the pacified favela of Leme, this cute bar offers a stunning view of the Copacabana beach. With homemade tapas inspired by South American cuisine (Columbia, Argentina etc), and a delicious locally brewed beer, this bar was definitely a highlight of our trip to Rio.
Access is easy, a moto taxi will take you up for R$3 and R$2 to go down. The favela was pacified many years ago and is completely safe to go now. People are very friendly and will direct you to the bar.
