Este não é um hotel 5 estrelas (incomparável com o verdadeiro luxo JW Marriott em São Paulo.) Cheiro estranho no quarto, área da piscina é decepcionante, Spa é apenas um quarto com sauna antiga). estrela é para localização e outra para uma equipe simpática
Hotel excelente com uma equipe bastante simpática e profissional. Quarto amplo, limpo e com varanda. Possuiu uma academia que para mim é muito importante em ter. Perto da praia, restaurantes a beira mar, shopping para compras e perto de pontos turísticos para passeios.
Hotel policy is very strict with regards to visitors to the room. So bare in mind before booking this hotel.if you have friends you want to take to your room or visit you, they will force to meet them outside the hotel. Kinda of very unpleasant feeling in this hotel. Remind me tiran countries like Cuba preventing locals to interact with tourists at the facility. Front desk is very friendly and they are fluent in English.
Loved the pool and staff service was amazing made it nice to stay there for the weekend Filipe was such a great guy sorted out so many issues I had defo going to stay there again and the breakfast was amazing views were so cool
I want to clarify I am rating this Marriott based on other Marriott's I frequent. There are two issues that they need to address desperately. 1. Check-in is a painful process because of the desk clerks. In their attempts to offer great service they don’t gauge the other guest waiting in line. Especially those who have just spent the last 8-18 hours traveling. So one guest thinks this is great service and three or four are having a terrible experience. They chit chat with guests about the attractions in Rio and all kinds of things unrelated to getting through the process. Many of the things I hear are things the concierge should be dealing with. If management wants to provide that kind of service, they should increase staff at peak levels. 2. The bellman who wears the black and white striped shirt every day. I’m not sure if his look is that of a gondolier or a prison inmate. I do know he has been at the property for years. Unless you are an attractive women or arriving in a VIP vehicle he can barely utter hello. He is the least friendly doorman in any five star resort I have ever encountered.

A somatória de muitos detalhes torna um hotel inesquecível. O JW Marriott de Copacabana faz parte da história da minha família. Nós o frequentam há treze anos. O “Capitão” cuida da entrada do Marriott há doze anos e relembrou-me na minha última estada, semana passada, que meu filho mais novo quando criança queria comprar dele a chave-mestra que abria todos os quartos do hotel! Cheguei lá no sábado, 06-04-2019, para o casamento de grande amigo meu, mas meu quarto não estava pronto. Guilherme, o qual realizou meu check in, percebeu a falha, uma vez que minha reserva garantia check in mais cedo, ofereceu-me almoço: polvo grelhado, vinagrete suave e batata doce. Repetirei! E o barman, o simpático marroquino Youssef, presenteou-me com um Merlot delicioso. Na manhã seguinte, recebi dois amigos para o café da manhã. Fomos muito bem recebidos por Ingrid. Após o check out, o gerente Leandro veio despedir-se. Nota dez para todos os funcionários desse hotel maravilhoso!
I stayed on Feb. 25 one night. Nice hotel especially Carmen on concierge desk. She was very kind and pofessional. I really want to thank her and want stay this hotel again someday. From Jae Lee
This hotel was nice but the service has been very disappointing. I checked in and even though they had availability they refused to upgrade me without paying 120$. The last half of my stay they finally upgraded me and I was happy. When I was about to checkout they told me my account didn't have enough points to cover the stay (which it should have). So I called the Bonvoy rewards and after almost an hour on the phone with them (which I was charged 70$ for) they updated my account balance to reflect the correct amount. At checkout I gave the front desk the claim number and was assured everything was taken care of and there would be no problems. Fast forward 4 days later and all my points for the stay were redeemed as expected but I was also charged for the room on my credit card. I have now called the hotel 4 times the first I was told the manager was busy and I couldn't be helped and needed to call back in an hour. The 2nd and 3rd I was hung up on out of nowhere, and the 4th I was being helped and then put on hold only to sit there for 20 minutes and have to hang up. This has been by far my MOST DISAPPOINTING interaction with Marriott period!
This place is a dump the only good thing is the location but the staff not helpful at all you would think with the name JW Marriott it would be upscale but its not

Sou Massagista (t 98530-0891) atendi um hóspede dos USA. Fui muito bem recebida, o hotel e de extrema segurança tudo muito organizado e limpo. Ambiente harmonioso. Super indico.
Place was over booked and I had to wait until past 3: 00 PM (that is over 4.5 hours) to be checked in. This is past the peak rush season and I had followed all the requested protocols: asked for early checkin before booking the room, contacted the hotel 2 days ago and performed the e-checkin on the day, prior to heading to the hotel. Staff was apologetic but kept repeating the official line to the point of annoyance. Did not expect this from a Marroitt. No offer for customer service even though I am a SPG member. Will not recommend this place. Copacabana has plenty of hotels to choose from.
Very good hotel. Very clean, good breaskfast (American style). Just miss pancakes. Staff is courteous and polite. Concierge Carmen is the best. We stayed at the 7 floor with beach view and it was a great experience. We do recommend this hotel and hope to be back soon. *liked the Brazilian chocolates they dropped by our door*

We stayed at this hotel just after Christmas till after the new year. Perfect location, friendly staff, helpful and knowledgeable concierges, clean rooms, and great service. But my main reason for this review is to mention the NYE party at the Moonlounge rooftop bar. It was simply amazing - the views of the fireworks, the food and the open bar. That's what an open bar means! Champagne was literally flowing all night. Glasses were being filled constantly. It was really well organised with just the right number of people to make it feel like a party without it being overcrowded or having to fight to see the fireworks at midnight. A memorable evening. I highly recommend it.
I loved this Hotel in terms of location and amenities. The bed was really comfortable. But what was striking me most was the excellent and friendly staff. A special thanks goes to Aline and Juliana. Upon check-in we got a complementary upgrade to a high floor and see view. Also we got a free breakfast because unfortunately the roof top terrace was closed on the night of our stay. The staff really makes sure that you'll enjoy your stay. Also they speak excellent Portuguese, Spanish and English. Would visit again anytime! Location and view from rooftop is unbeatable.
