Café da manhã muito bom.
Muito ar condicionado no quarto, estava frio e sem cobertores.
Perfeito para quem gosta de hostels de festas. Se não, busque outra coisa.

Lugar incrível para ficar! Adorei, acabei reservando mais 4 noites porque não queria sair do lugar.

Toda a equipe foi incrível e tão prestativa que fez com que eu e meus amigos estivéssemos em casa, suas atividades são muito divertidas e há um clima de festa todas as noites.

Além disso, o resto dos convidados foi muito divertido

Excelente Hostel, se o que você procura é conhecer outros viajantes, festejar e se divertir muito, este é o seu lugar. Eles se esforçam para manter uma atmosfera divertida e muitas atividades, a localização é consistente, praticamente na Lapa e a poucos quarteirões de caminhada de locais de festa e discotecas todos os dias. A limpeza é boa e tem banheiros suficientes, só poderia melhorar o café da manhã. Passei 5 ótimas noites neste hostel, recomendo.

Mas. Se você quer paz, saiba que um monte de jovens gringos falando alto, mesmo depois das 22h, na janela do quarto.

Muito calor, não tem 1 ventilador; internet é horrível.achei o cheirinho meio ruim quando entrei. Depois fui acostumando.

Best Hostel if you are looking for a fun and social Rio experience. Everyone is very nice, drinks at the bar are cheap and super good and the vibe doesn't compare to anything I have seen before or since. Favourite hostel to go to

A party hostel that calms down when everyone is partied out. So it can be hit or miss. I absolutely adore so much about this hostel; everything from the owner, to the staff, to the space, the breakfast, the beds and more. I made so many good friends here and I really have the hostel to thank. I would definitely return.

One thing to note, if you want to be visiting Ipanema beach all the time, it can be a bit of a trek.

Amei ficar nesse hostel, quando voltar ao rio irei ficar aqui novamente, no coração da Lapa, acesso aos principais pontos, os quartos são bem limpos, banheiros também são limpos todo dia, café da manhã mto bom, eles fazem happy hour tbm, próximo a mercado padaria, os colaboradores são bem prestativos educados. Albergue incrível! A localização é ótima, o café da manhã e a staff são maravilhosos.
As camas possuem tomada própria e os quartos tem armários.

Books hostel is located infront of castor hotel. No signage but it has a steel gate door. It has three floors. I booked a bed on the 3rd floor. It was airconditioned, well ventilated, and lit. The ac schedule is 9pm to 9am. The breakfast includes slice bread, butter, cheese, fruits, cereals, milk, coffee and fruit shake. Ines is very accomodating and helpful. The location is superb. It is near grocery and pharmacy. Also, it is 6 minutes walk to lapa de arco (aqueduct), and +5 minutes to escandaria selaron (selaron steps), +10 minutes to gloria subway station. The subway is safe during the morning and early afternoon. It may have a bad rep of safety but the security are everywhere and front desk are friendly. I initially book for 2 nights but have to extend it an additional 1 night until May 6,2022 check out. It's good for long-term stays.

Melhor Hostel do Rio de Janeiro. Com certeza irei mais e mais e mais vezes. Experiência única com pessoas de todo o mundo. ️

Tentam o máximo pra manterem a limpeza mas os próprios hóspedes nem sempre colaboram.

Ambiente realmente agradável e aconchegante. Se for de outro país, se sentirá em casa. Muitos gringos se hospedam ou circulam no local.

Bem localizado, transporte público, bancos, restaurantes, bares nas proximidades. Ambiente limpo e organizado. Recomendo!

Hostel muito bem localizado. Passa ônibus para vários lugares, Uber para os pontos turísticos dá um valor legal. Banheiro e quartos super limpos. Amei o ambiente. Fui muito bem recepcionada. Ótima escolha ️

The guy working was super kind and very helpful. I wasn't even staying at the hostel and he helped me set up a brazilian cell phone when the hostel I was at down the road wouldn't help at all.

Mesmo vendo algumas reclamacoes desse hostel resolvi arriscar. Acreditem em todas as avaliacoes ruins pois sao todas verdadeiras. Hostel horrivel sujo num lugar horrivel e com um proprietario extremamente grosso. Nao honram a reserva que vc contrata pois na monha tonha cafe da manha e o grosso do proprietario disse q nao. Nao caiam nessa cilado o hostel e horrivel

Atendimento fora do comum!
Do início ao fim fomos bem recepcionados, o calor humano é descomunal e ainda pude contar com a higiene e facilidade para reservar e participar de passeios, eventos entre outras programações.

Ótima localização, cerveja gelada, ótimo café da manhã, o pessoal sempre prestativo. Recomendo!

Uma experiência cultural, pessoas de todas as partes do mundo convivendo em um ambiente bem agradável, eu AMEI! Já quero voltar.

A experiência que tive no Books foi pequena porém foi absolutamente INCRÍVEL, lugar super receptivo e aconchegante, tratamento dos inquilinos foi perfeito, o café da manhã que está incluso na diária, também é muito proveitoso, eu com certeza voltaria a me hospedar no Books

First time in Rio and we chose this hostel. It was amazing times and I loved every bit of our stay. Super close to the all the action in Lapa.

Stayed here in 2015. I was a lone traveller and was fresh off the plane so we nervous and excited about my travels ahead around South America and the people I would meet along the way. I stayed 1 night at a different hostel and didn't feel like I settled. Switched the next day after a recommendation from a friend and fell in love with the place and staff. The most warm and welcoming hostel I stayed at in my 6 months in S. America. The owner is always on site, very welcoming and hires staff who match his way of thinking. I stayed for a week (planned to stay for 4 days but couldn't leave). I can honestly say that you will have great times in most of the places you stay, but for some reason there's only one hostel that stays in your heart once you've left. Books.

I stayed during Carnival. Had a great experience. The atmosphere is great.
The staff even better. I have to commend one of the girls working there. Marta helped me when i was there for a night. The room had no A/C and it was too hot for me to sleep. She helped me get a different room that Had A/C and if i was not satisfied she would refund me. This service beats big name places like Selina hostel which is down the road. When the same situation happened there they could not resolve it and were pretty rude about it. Thanks again Marta

Si buscas fiesta este es tu hostel, muy buen ambiente, excelente ubicación, muy buen desayuno, tienen agua gratis (que es super necesario) recomendado si viajas sola, mucha gente extranjera así que recomendable saber inglés.
Recomendado a mil, si vuelvo a Río si o si este es mi lugar.

O lugar é fantastico altas festas e gebte bonita, alem de ser extremamente confortavel e com um café da manha nota 10

I would like to share my extreme gratefulness for the pillow assigned to me by Books hostel. I will have to wait until my next review for other topics. The pillowcase given to me by the staff was chosen with great care and I really feel that it reflected my personality. It was a very nice match with the sheet selection as well. It was clean and in pristine condition. The pillow itself is the perfect firmness and is like sleeping on a cloud straight from Heaven. Thank you very much to all the staff from Books.
