I had a very good experience here. As a complete beginner with very limited Portuguese, Maestro Macambira was very patient and clear. I can remember the rhythms we learned.

I was interested in taking a beginner drum class while in Salvador and a professional percussionist from my hometown recommended Macambira to me. The class was fantastic! He is super conveniently located, just across from the blue church. He is very patient, supportive and fun. They will also share video with you of the rhythms learned in class. Highly recommend!
